Pakuba Safari Lodge Note on COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Family,

As the whole universe continues to experience the COVID-19 pandemic, we find ourselves in the same predicament. It is how we decide on how to handle the situation that will determine our survival; a crucial moment that might have a big influence on our planet.

As a lodge, we truly understand the challenges facing our clients, as well as our staff and their wellbeing. We resume operations on 2nd June 2020 with strict adherence to the Government and Ministry of Health guidelines. Please be informed that we are taking the health directives very seriously and that we are fitting those procedures at the lodge.

These procedures include strict hygiene measures (sanitization upon arrival, thermometer by the reception, social distancing ensured in common areas such as the reception, swimming pool and dining area), vigilant health monitoring and making sure we only operate at not more than 50% occupancy capacity to allow social distancing.

For those clients with current bookings or those scheduled to visit us, we have introduced more flexible terms, allowing them to amend or cancel without incurring penalties. Our reservations team in Kampala is accessible to all client’s inquiries, please get in touch should you have any queries.

We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you back to Pakuba Safari Lodge soon. Together, we hope we all survive this and have a renewed perspective on different things such as travel, life, and much more.

Sincerely,

Management

Wildlife Game Drives in Murchison Falls National Park:

COVID-19 Pandemic

Activities while at Pakuba Safari Lodge

Game Drives take an Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger on board – between our driver-guide and the UWA Ranger there is not much that you will miss on a game drive in Murchison Falls Wildlife Reserve.

There is nothing like a sunrise or late afternoon game drive with its Rothschild Giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, antelopes, lions, leopards, warthogs, Savannah birds, and more.

Game Drives are about three hours in length – not too long if you are on a family Uganda safari with small children.

Nocturnal Game Drives in Murchison Falls National Park – COVID-19 Pandemic:

This is one of the highlights that are not to be missed. On Nocturnal Game Drives you can see the predators of the night out on the prowl such as Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, and several cats.

The Nocturnal Game Drive is about two hours in length and it takes place at dusk or after darkness has set in This is something we suggest not to miss. you might have a hard time taking pictures but the pictures and images in your mind.

Spotlights are used for the Night Game Drives in Murchison Falls Park – this way there is not much you can miss.
